I have a web application (not compiled) which uses the camera. With the release of iOS 11 the camera stopped working. Having done some testing it would appear that if I load the web app in Safari the camera works. If the link is saved to the home screen and the app launced from there the camera fails to work.
This is a known bug/restriction in iOS 11. Here is a discussion of it:
It’s not something we can fix - hopefully Apple addresses this. As of iOS 11.2, the problem is still there.
Finally Apple seem to have fixed this in ios11.3
