Save HTMLview to camera roll

I have a series of captures (snapshots) from an IP camera displayed in HTMLview.
It would be good to have a ‘Save Image’ button to copy the current image to the camera roll.
Is there a way to do this?

You’ll probably need to use PhoneGap for this. Web apps are not allow access to the device’s file system - you can imagine the chaos a malignant web page could cause otherwise.

Thank you – that does make sense.

Given that a combination of ‘Home’ & ‘Power’ or ‘Volume’ can grab a screen-shot to camera roll – is there a way perhaps to emulate that? Or do the same rules apply.

The same rules apply. You wouldn’t want web pages activating the buttons on your phone.
